Work on Duke Beltline Trail Master Plan Ready to Move Forward
Work on the Duke Beltline Trail Master Plan is ready to move forward. The 2.2-mile trail, to be built on a rail corridor that is no longer used, will serve as a bicycle and pedestrian connection between downtown and neighborhoods to the north and east. A $222,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation and $75,000 in matching City funds will pay for the plan development.

More Options for Managing Water Accounts in the Works
Durham water customers will soon have more options for managing their accounts. A new company will be providing expanded payment options to the City and its customers, to include options such as interactive voice response, online payments, and potentially mobile-based payment options.


Area Organizations and the City Provide Support, Services and Job Training to At-Risk Youth
Several organizations and the City are working together to help the community's at-risk youth. Among those are Made in Durham, Community Partnerships and the Achievement Academy of Durham. Find out how each of these organizations is proving to be a valuable partner.
