City Council Approves Economic Development Incentive Agreement for Chesterfield Building
An economic development incentive agreement<http://www.durhamnc.gov/agendas_new/2015/cws20151005/10711_MEMO_CHESTERFIELD_ECONOMIC_INC_377690_661244.PDF> between the City and a private developer will help breathe new life back into downtown Durham's Chesterfield Building. A private developer is planning to convert the building into 284,000 square feet of mixed space. The City Council approved an incentive payment of up to $6 million over 15 years to help with the effort.

Professional Placement Network to Host Free Networking Events
>From October through February, the Professional Placement Network is hosting free events<http://durhamnc.gov/DocumentCenter/View/6895> to provide targeted career services and support to adult professionals. The events will be held on the first Wednesday of every month from 10 a.m. to noon in the Historic Parrish Street Forum.

Community Health Worker Program in Northeast Central Durham Moves Forward

Trees Across Durham is accepting nominations for its new Durham's Finest Trees Program<http://durhamnc.gov/DocumentCenter/View/6423>. The program recognizes significant trees to preserve the best examples of specific tree species.
