New Police Chief Swearing-In Ceremony June 10
All Durham residents are invited to attend the swearing-in ceremony<http://durhamnc.gov/DocumentCenter/View/10789> for the City's new police chief, Cerelyn J. Davis. The ceremony is set for 6 p.m. on June 10 at The Carolina Theatre. Davis' first day on the job is June 6.

Final Public Hearing on 2016-2017 Budget June 6
Anyone wanting to weigh in on the City's proposed budget<http://durhamnc.gov/DocumentCenter/View/10566> for the coming fiscal year is encouraged to attend a public hearing on June 6, which will take place during the City Council's regular meeting at 7 p.m. at City Hall.

Public Hearing on Changes to Durham's City Code June 6
A public hearing on changes to Durham's City Code<http://www.durhamnc.gov/agendas_new/2016/cm20160606/11113_PRESENTATION_NIS_ORDINANCE_MODIFICATIO_389745_696395.PDF> will be held on June 6. The changes address the removal of trash and undergrowth on private property; abandoned, hazardous and junk vehicles; and the periodic inspection and registration of rental housing.
