Come out and celebrate Fall Kickoff of the Durham Roots Farmer's Market 
at Northgate Mall this Saturday, September 10, from 8am to noon! We'll 
have prizes, music by the Northgate Jams, and cute little chicks!

Prizes include:

Northgate Mall -- a $25 gift card, 5 $5 food court gift cards, 5 $1 gift 
cards, and 5 sets of two Northgate Stadium 10 Theater passes!

Architectural Trees -- $35 unravelled boxwood

Blue Whistler Farm -- a whole chicken

Bull City Farm -- four $10 gift certificates

Carolina Farmhouse Dairy -- two $16 variety packs

Dandies -- four $5 gift certificates

Jubilee Family Farm -- Jubilee Family Farm Hot Pepper Jelly

Prodigal Farm -- a chevre and an aged cheese

Tilthy Rich -- one free month of compost service

Just come to the market tent and register FOR FREE. We'll have the 
drawing after the market. If you're a winner we'll let you know, and you 
can pick up and redeem your prize next week!

Educational booths include Tilthy Rich on composting, the Land Loss 
Prevention group, and Durham County Extension Agent Deborah McGiffin. 
Coffee, and pastries and breads from Ninth Street Bakery will be 
available from Northgate's Esmerelda's Cafe.

Confirmed vendors at the kickoff include:

Blue Whistler Farm (Duck, Rabbit, Chicken, Turkey, whole Chickens at a 
20% discount, a few dozen eggs. Also, mark your calendar for the 
Carolina Farm Stewardship Fall Farm tour, September 17-18.  We'll be on 
it. )

Bull City Farm (pork, beef, sausage, spice packs and eggs)

Carolina Farmhouse Dairy (yogurt, kefir, and milk from some of Durham's 
happiest cows)

Dandies Farm (selling at the Prodigal Farm booth: okra, bell and hot 
peppers, zinnia cut flowers)

Jubilee Family Farm (lots of okra, hot peppers, cut zinnias, herb starts)

Prodigal Farm (Bearded Lady, Blue Chevrolait, Candide, Field of Creams, 
Rowdy Gentleman, Piedmont Provencal, Dirty Girl, and Hunkadora aged 
cheeses -- what a lineup!  and marinated feta, feta crumbles, and an 
array of fresh chevre flavors)  We'll also be on the Carolina Farm 
Stewardship Fall Farm tour, Sept. 17-18.  Come cuddle some goaties, 
picnic on the farm, learn more about cheese, and enjoy a fall day. 
We're Durham's cheesemonger!

Reality Ministries (perennials)

The above lists are always subject to change, and some products are in 
short supply. Enter Northgate at the Gregson Street entrance near the 
theaters and you'll see the market on the right. Hours are 8am to noon 
on Saturday.

We love animals, but please -- no pets at the market (service animals 
are OK)!
