[Durham INC] Update on early voting

About 15,500 people voted the first 2 days of the election.


A clarification on cell phone use in the polling places.  There have been lots of phones out at BOE, but the choice on allowing them is apparently up to the judges.  Please don't aggravate them by doing the "3 T's" (talking, texting, taking pictures).  For this election, it is probably a good idea to still take your paper copy of your choices.


In spite of 12-hour days, the BOE is behind on entering (and verifying the entry of) registration forms.  People apparently are hearing to check their registration at https://enr.ncsbe.gov/voter_search_public/.   Even if you have been registered for years, it is a good idea to check that nothing weird has happened (check your friends and family while you are at it (-:).


South Library has had the highest turn-out.  A new site in RTP will open, less than a mile down NC54, will open next Thursday.
