INC receives a copy of all the notices about proposed re-zoings, Board of Adjustments hearings, etc. All of these are old, but I am sending out the Planning Board and Neighborhood meetings as they will still come up. As discussed at the delegate meeting, there seem to be a lot of planned development / mixed us, but I don't have the development plan to see how much "integrated" and "innovative" these plans are.
Planning Board hearings:
* December 13, 2016: Village Hearth (a "flag lot" parcel on Infinity east of Lazyriver, lower density suburban to planned development), Jovan Revision (1303 Wrenn, revision to planned development for area without much access to a big road, north of Ellis)
* January 17, 2017: 4000 Danube Lane (Lower density residential to planned development, with likely some wetland complications), Yancey Property (Leesville Rd west of Shady Grove, rural residential to planned development
Board of Adjustment for January 24:
* 501 North Driver, a variance of setbacks for accessory dwelling units
* Minor special use for a place of worship in a residential zone, on Page more or less opposite Carnation Dr.
*
City Council, January 17, 2017
* The continuing saga of Celeste Circle
Community Meetings (in reverse chronological order):
* Feb. 8: 2018 Fletchers Chapel Road, rural residential to planned development
* Jan. 25: 709 E. Markhan, from light industrial to a residential zoning to allow Habitat for Humanity housing
* Dec. 6: A self-storage facility at 3871 Guess Rd. just west of Prison Camp Rd. (so commercial from comprehensive plan has low density residential)
* Nov. 15: Up to 149 single-family homes at 7218 Leesville (more than what they were re-zoned for and are currently constructing)
* Nov. 7: 114.16 acres along Andrews Chapel Rd
* Nov. 3: 1.3 acres at the corner of Fawn and Hillandale from medium-density residential to office, to allow a parking lot for a Durham VA Clinic
* Oct. 27: 280 single family homes on 136.34 acres, as a conservation subdivision (so at lest 50% left as open space -- well, looking at the map, mostly a lake (-:) at Lumley and Azalea
* Oct. 19: 2 acres for a self-storage facility (so commercial zone), on NC 54 west of Barbee
* Oct. 13: Townhouse on Ephesus Church Rd. opposite Creekside Elementary
Finally, we had a notification about a communications tower, 120 feet high, on 9.94 acres, on Shady Grove Rd., in October.
