I personally would wait until Monday when the kinks are worked out of the system, but if you are gung-ho and all, the sites are Board of Elections downtown, NCCU, North and South Library. The hours are the same at all sites:

Thursday, September 21 - Friday, September 229:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.Saturday, September 239:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.Sunday, September 2412:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.Monday, September 25 - Friday, September 299:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.Saturday, September 309:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.Sunday, October 112:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.Monday, October 2 - Friday, October 69:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.Saturday, October 79:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

For some reason, I can't find the schedule on the Durham BOE website, but it is here: https://vt.ncsbe.gov/ossite/ (you need to page forward to get to the South Library listing)

You can also get a ballot by mail:

If you just need to update your registration within Durham County, you don't need ID. You may need ID if:

  * For some first-time voters, if for some reason something messed up with the registration form you sent in
  * You are moving your registration from outside Durham County, you will need one of the acceptable documents that may be used to provide proof of residency include: a North Carolina driver license, a photo ID from a government agency, a copy of one of the following that shows the name and address of the voter: a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck or other government document.
