Dear Durham folk: Thursday's FAMILY/KID'S NITE @ THE RODEO: September's here
- and that means the FTR teams up again with the organizers of CHALK WALK,
St. Paul United Methodist Church, and Special Guest Thomas Merrigan and his
Street Piano Project for an evening of entertainment and fun! (Tom's got a
new initiative -- See below 4 an appeal/Link l!!)

 

Got stuff to do @ home? Swing by for take-home dinner pickup (for self or
family) instead of cooking -- so you can get right to whatcha wanna do! 



** The Lineup: **

* Fahsyrah's Lemonade will be serving up a last little bit of summer in a
cup, if you're still not quite ready for fall flavors... Ahh!

 

* Dessert truck: Chez Moi - A Baking Renaissance...Experience the Awakening!
with us for their second set of the season - The first days of fall are a
PERFECT time for getting a slice of RUM cake! 

 

Dinner trucks:

 

* Tacos Las Gringas - NEW TRUCK with great authentic Latin fare - gluten
free and vegetarian/vegan dishes available, yum!



* Route Bistro LLC returns with a range of al fresco cafe fusion offerings
that have a little something for everyone! Salads, sandwiches and hot dishes
depending on your mood. 

 

* Mixed Casual Korean Bistro joins us for their second session in NGP -
Spicy pork, Kimchi, and other spicy things, Gluten free and vegan options
included!



* Baton Rouge Cuisine go-to regular with NOLA-style dishes (seafood etoufee,
fried okra! po'boys, gumbo red beans & rice (for the non-ominvore) & more,
depending on fresh ingredients available!

THIS MONTH'S ENTERTAINMENT - LONG-AWAITED RETURN OF THE DURHAM STREET PIANO
MAN Thomas Merrigan WITH A NEW PROJECT !!

 

Durham (and the Ellerbe Creek Watershed Association's own Beaver Queen
contestant Bucktooth Beaver from 2015!) will light up Northgate Park with a
range of original piano compositions and old favorites for audiences of all
ages to enjoy! - AND, He's in the FINAL HOURS OF a fab Kickstarter Campaign
to record his wonderful material - for fans and for posterity!! He will be
helped by Washboard Dave Tilley from the well-known Cosmic Hoedown show on
WKNC 88.1 FM HD-1 and his Bogue Sound studios production company at Erik
Lars Myers' own Mystery Brewing Company location in Hillsborough on Sept 30!
(both backers being prior sponsors/judges of the BQP for several years
themselves).
