[Durham INC] INC City Council Candidates Forum

INC listserv members,

This Thursday, October 12th at 6:30 PM, INC is sponsoring a City Council
Candidates Forum. This debate, held at the City Council Chambers, will
count with the participation of the candidates who obtain the two largest
plurality of votes on the previous Tuesday (Primary election).   The Forum
will have a coverage that is quite unique. There will be TV broadcast live
on two channels of TV providers (channel 8 of Spectrum and Channel 99 of
ATT U-verse) and an internet streaming outlet. The debate will be taped and
re-broadcast for two weeks on those two TV providers channels. A taped
version will be available to anybody through YuTube.  Candidates will have
an opportunity to face their opponents for their respective Wards and they
can make their respective case to a broad audience.  The election of
November 7th will select three members out of seven of the City Council.
Significant  decisions have been taken in Durham on votes split 4/3.
During the Forum, three of those decisions makers will be available to
answer questions.  The audience can suggest questions at a desk available
at the entrance of the Chambers.  Do your best to attend and important
event!
