Central Park Waterline Replacement Project Update and Two-Week Look Ahead

June 28, 2018

No work is planned for Wednesday, July 4.  The City appreciates your ongoing patience with the work along the busy corridors associated with the Central Park Waterline Replacement Project. Planned Road / Lane Closures will occur as follows:


  *   Week of 7/2:
     *   Mangum Street will be reduced to one lane between Broadway Street and West Morgan Street.
     *   Corporation Street eastbound lane will be closed between Rigsbee Avenue and Mangum Street.
     *   Hunt Street will be reduced to one lane between Rigsbee Avenue and Mangum Street.
     *   Northwood Circle eastbound lane will be closed between Madison Street and North Street.
     *   Liggett Street, Fuller Street, Fernway Avenue, Corporation Street between North Duke and Foster Street, and Foster Street between Corporation Street and W Morgan Street may be closed temporarily for repaving as equipment becomes available.


  *   Week of 7/9:
     *   Mangum Street will be reduced to one lane between Broadway Street and West Morgan Street.
     *   Corporation Street eastbound lane will be closed between Rigsbee Avenue and Mangum Street.
     *   Hunt Street will be reduced to one lane between Rigsbee Avenue and Mangum Street.
     *   Northwood Circle eastbound lane will be closed between Madison Street and North Street.
     *   Liggett Street, Fuller Street, Fernway Avenue, Corporation Street between North Duke and Foster Street, and Foster Street between Corporation Street and W Morgan Street may be closed temporarily for repaving as equipment becomes available.

Week of July 2, 2018:

  *   There will be no work occurring on Wednesday, July 4.

     *   Flaggers will be utilized for traffic control.

     *   Planned work hours are 7 AM to 6 PM.
     *   No water or sewer service disruptions are anticipated.

  *   Corporation Street will be reduced to one lane as sanitary sewer line installation continues.

     *   Traffic control signs and markings will be used for all traffic detours.
     *   Flaggers will be utilized for traffic control.
     *   Sidewalk traffic will be disrupted.
     *   Noise levels in excess of the current City noise ordinance are anticipated during work hours.

     *   No work planned.
