Durham Mayor Presents State of the City Address February 18



What: Annual State of the City Address



Who: City of Durham Mayor Steve Schewel



When: Monday, February 18, 2019, from 7 p.m.-7:30 p.m. The regularly scheduled City Council Meeting will immediately follow.



Where: City Hall Council Chambers, 101 City Hall Plaza, First Floor, Durham, N.C.27701



Fast Facts

*         This annual address recounts the City's achievements and challenges throughout the previous year and outlines the mayor's goals for the coming year. This year's address also includes recognition by Mayor Schewel of City employees who have made a difference in Durham along with a short video highlighting many of the City's 2018 accomplishments.



*         Attendance is free and residents, business owners, and local news media are encouraged to attend. The address will be immediately followed by the regularly scheduled City Council meeting.



*         The address will be televised live beginning at 7 p.m. on Durham Television Network<https://durhamnc.gov/1104/Durham-Television-Network> (Spectrum channel 8, Google Fiber channel 8, Frontier channel 70, and AT&T U-verse channel 99) as well as live-streamed from the City's website<https://durham.granicus.com/ViewPublisher.php?view_id=2>.



*         Video of the full address will be uploaded to the Mayor's webpage<https://durhamnc.gov/1406/Mayor-Steve-Schewel> by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, February 19. *         News media will be provided access to a mult-box during the presentation. Wireless microphones are recommended to help avoid trip hazards.
