April 23, 2019

Visitors

President Rochelle Araujo welcomed those present and called the meeting to order; folks introduced themselves. We added the committee on measurements for Expanding Housing Choices to the agenda. Pat Carstensen moved to approve the March minutes, Susan Sewell seconded, and this passed.

Susan Sewell sent in the information to the Hero Committee for the Durham 150 Birthday Celebration on the nomination of Bill Anderson that she gathered, so that is done.

Planning has asked INC to be involved in the annual report on the effects of Expanding Housing Choices, and neighborhoods are concerned about how the effects are measured. Rochelle Araujo will be going to the workshop on Saturday. Philip Azar send out a first set of thoughts on measurements and has reached out to East Durham. A committee will meet next Tuesday.

Philip Azar went to a meeting on Vision Zero, a new program about having no pedestrian and bike fatalities. He will ask about a speaker and we will look at a new push on traffic issues since the environment may have improved.
