Juneteenth Celebrations

The event celebrates African-American Independence Day, and marks the anniversary of the end of slavery in the United States.

Opening Ceremony includes songs, prayer, litany, elected officials and clergy, pouring of libation and salute to elders.

 

Live Entertainment throughout the day features national artists and local performers.

 

Exhibitors has African and African-American clothing, specialty items, crafts, etc. 

The Health Fair includes blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes,

and HIV screenings.

 

The Kid's Zone has games, face painting, crafts and

other fun, educational activities and information for children of

all ages.
