Vice Chair Hill Appointed to NCACC Board of Directors

Durham, NC - Durham County Vice Chair James Hill has been selected to serve at the 9th District Director for the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners. The NCACC divides the State of North Carolina into 18 multi-county districts<http://www.ncacc.org/94/District-Map>. Vice Chair Hill will represent Durham, Chatham, Lee, Johnston, Orange and Wake Counties during his two-year appointment. According to the NCACC, even-numbered districts elect directors in even years and odd-numbered districts elect directors in odd years.

As the 9th District Director, his duties will focus on serving as a conduit for information between the NCACC Board of Directors and his district. He will also be responsible for mentoring newly-elected commissioners from District 9 and representing the NCACC locally while building rapport with stakeholders.

Vice Chair Hill is currently serving his first term as County Commissioner, having been sworn in December 5, 2016.
