County Manager to Deliver Recommended Budget on May 11
Residents Can Watch Presentation Live Online and Durham Television Network

Durham, N.C. - Durham County Manager Wendell M. Davis will present his recommended budget for Fiscal Year 2020-2021 to the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) on Monday, May 11, 2020. The presentation will take place during the BOCC's Regular Session scheduled at 7 p.m. The meeting will be virtual due to social distancing guidelines as dictated in the Durham City-County Stay-At-Home Order. Citizens who wish to watch the meeting may do so live on Durham Television Network, Spectrum Channel 8, or online on the County's website here: https://www.dconc.gov/government/departments-a-e/board-of-commissioners/commissioner-meetings/bocc-live-archived-media-library.

This year's budget addresses the complex dynamics of Durham's growing population and the County's ability to deliver required services during these unprecedented times with the on-going COVID-19 pandemic. In the face of a challenging economy brought on by the pandemic, the forthcoming recommended budget aligns with the key areas of focus communicated during the BOCC's Budget Retreat and guided by the Managing for Results Model<http://www.dcomanagingforresults.org/> introduced by Manager Davis in 2015.
