BOCC to Hold May 26th Regular Session Virtually

Residents Can Access Video Live on DTN and Online; Meeting Will Serve as Public Hearing on FY 2020-21 Recommended Budget

Durham, N.C. - Due to the ongoing social distancing restrictions in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the Durham Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) will continue to hold its meetings virtually. The next Regular Session to be held this way will be on Tuesday, May 26, 2020, at 7 p.m. During this meeting, there will be a Public Comment Hearing on the County Manager's Fiscal Year 2020-2021 Recommended Budget. The meeting is being held on Tuesday due to most Durham County Government offices being closed for the Memorial Day Holiday on Monday, May 25.

The virtual option aligns with social distancing requirements which ensures the safety of citizens who wish to participate as well as Board members and Durham County Government staff. Citizens who wish to view the BOCC meeting can watch it live on the Durham Television Network live on Spectrum Channel 8.
