The new "portal" for request for absentee and military/overseas ballots is now available.  The advantage of using it is that it does some checking to make sure you put in everything you need to enter

The Durham Board of Elections folks are "beavering away" at getting out the absentee ballots that have been requested, but it may take them into next week to get them all out.  If you don't get yours by the middle of the month, call them. Over 560,000 ballots have been requested across the state, so if they are 99.9% accurate on getting the ballots out, that would still mean 560 mis-routed ones.
