[Durham INC] Billboards don't rest

Last spring, NC DOT, under pressure from the billboard folks, was proposing rules on billboards that were a disaster. Then NC DOT changed the proposal for the better based on comments from local governments, neighborhood groups and environmental organizations. The billboard industry unfortunately has the time and money and didn't give up though and is now complaining that the proposed are too vague. So please comment to the Rules Commission that DOT's proposed rules are not vague, reflect the law, and are what you want to see.
Thanks, pat

Those comments are available for review on the agency’s web page at https://www.ncdot.gov/about-us/how-we-operate/policy-process/rules/Pages/default.aspx . At the Department’s request to allow a thorough review of comments, an extension of up to 60 days was granted by the Commission.
To provide opportunities for input, it is possible to submit written comments to the Commission and/or register to speak at the Rules Review Commission meeting regarding the proposed rules.
Written comments must be submitted to the Commission by emailing rrc.comments at oah.nc.gov<mailto:rrc.comments at oah.nc.gov> . Any request to speak to the Commission regarding the rules may also be sent to the same email address.
