BOCC to Hold November 9th Regular Session Virtually
Residents Can Access Video Live on Durham Television Network and Online
Durham, N.C. - Due to the ongoing social distancing restrictions in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the Durham Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) will continue to hold its meetings virtually. The next Regular Session is Monday, November 9, 2020 at 7 p.m.
The virtual option aligns with social distancing requirements which ensures the safety of citizens who wish to participate as well as Board members and Durham County Government staff. Citizens who wish to view the BOCC meeting can watch it live on the Durham Television Network live on Spectrum Channel 8. The meeting will also be streamed live on the County's website<https://www.dconc.gov/government/departments-a-e/board-of-commissioners/commissioner-meetings/bocc-live-archived-media-library> and on the County's YouTube channel<http://www.youtube.com/dcowebmaster>. Replays are available on DTN, along with AT&T U-verse Channel 99, Google Fiber Channel 8 and Frontier Communications Channel 70.
During the meeting, there will one public hearing in which residents can sign up in advance to provide their comments on:
1. 20-0548 - First Public Hearing for Public Input on Durham County CDBG-CV Plan: The County's application for Community Development Block Grant-Coronavirus Program (CDBG-CV) funds. Funding awarded to communities through this grant will be used to provide COVID-related assistance in areas outside of the City of Durham city limits. Residents wishing to comment on the public hearing must sign up by emailing the Durham County Clerk to the Board at mtoomer at dconc.gov<mailto:mtoomer at dconc.gov> no later than 2 p.m. on Monday, November 9. The call-in information for the public hearing will be shared to those individuals after they have emailed the Clerk.
Residents wishing to submit comments for agenda items only should do so via email to mtoomer at dconc.gov<mailto:mtoomer at dconc.gov> by Sunday, November 8 at 12 p.m.
