[Durham INC] Invite/reminder: electoral reform initiative for NC, info session & state meeting tomorrow, 3:15pm (Zoom link)

Hi neighbors - sharing just for any who might be interested, an info session
(& meeting) tomorrow for an electoral reform initiative akin to those
happening in Maine, NYC, Alaska & parts of CA. Many states have launched
nonprofit initiatives and NC is in the swim to consider this too. Details

Better Ballot NC will hold its 4th Statewide meeting by Zoom tomorrow,
February 21, 2021. An introductory meeting for people new to Ranked Choice
Voting will start at 3:15 PM. The business meeting starts at 4:00 PM and
ends at 5:00 PM. Implementation of Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) is an
important milestone in the search for inclusive democratic practice in
electoral politics. If you can't attend, please consider donating to support

What's RCV / Why have electoral, ballot reform for NC?

Many observers of the US political system characterize it as broken,
dysfunctional or unfair. One of the underlying reasons for the general
disenchantment is our first-past-the-post, winner-take-all voting system.
Fortunately, there is an easy and useful upgrade to our voting system -
Ranked Choice Voting - that offers a chance to renew our political system.
To learn more about Ranked Choice Voting and get involved, join Better
Ballot NC at our statewide Zoom conference on February 21, 2021. Visit the
