Durham, N.C. - Durham County Cooperative Extension is celebrating the launch of its 2021 Report to the Community with a series of events for the community. The week of events will run from Monday, May 24 through Friday, May 28 and will highlight each of Durham County Cooperative Extension's program areas. This week was proclaimed Cooperative Extension Week by the Durham Board of County Commissioners at their Monday, May 10, 2021, meeting. The 2021 Report to the Community can be found online at: https://durham.ces.ncsu.edu/reports-to-the-community/

Throughout this week, Cooperative Extension invites families to share their wishes for the Durham community. Families can write their wishes on paper leaves and clovers that can be hung on the tree in front of the Durham County Cooperative Extension building at 721 Foster St., or at the family's home, and shared on social media. Hosted by Extension's 4-H Youth Leadership, Kids Voting Durham, and Parent & Family Advocacy programs, paper leaves, instructions, and markers will be distributed May 25 between 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., as well as during Welcome Baby diaper distributions on May 21 and 28, at the Extension building on 721 Foster St. Families can also download instructions and materials online at: https://go.ncsu.edu/seasontoengage.

On Monday, May 24, the full Durham Cooperative Extension team will hold a Report to the Community webinar from 12 to 1 p.m. to unveil the report and share an overview of each program area, their 2020 accomplishments, and information on how others can get involved.
