BOCC to Hold August 23 Regular Session Virtually
Residents Can Access Live Broadcast Online or Durham Television Network

Durham, N.C. - Due to the ongoing social distancing restrictions in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the Durham Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) will continue to hold its meetings virtually. The Board will hold its next meeting - a Regular Session - at 7 p.m. on Monday, August 23, 2021.

The virtual option aligns with social distancing requirements which ensures the safety of citizens who wish to participate as well as Board members and Durham County Government staff.

Anyone who wishes to view the BOCC meeting can watch live on the Durham Television Network (DTN), Spectrum Channel 8. The session will also be streamed live on the Durham County website<https://www.dconc.gov/county-departments/departments-a-e/board-of-commissioners/commissioner-meetings-and-announcements/bocc-agendas-video-library> and on the County's YouTube channel<http://www.youtube.com/dcowebmaster>. Replays are available on DTN, along with AT&T U-verse Channel 99, Google Fiber Channel 8, and Frontier Communications Channel 70.

During the meeting, there will be two public hearings:


  1.  21-0505 - Public Hearing - Zoning Map Change, Old Bahama Fire Station (Z2000046)
  2.  21-0511 - Public Hearing Approval to Consider Allocating Economic Development Funds to Smart Wires Inc.

Residents wishing to comment on the public hearings must submit them via email to the Clerk to the Board at clerk at dconc.gov<mailto:clerk at dconc.gov> no later than 2 p.m. on Monday, August 23.

Those wishing to submit comment regarding agenda items should email them to the Clerk to the Board at clerk at dconc.gov<mailto:clerk at dconc.gov>. These comments must be submitted by 12 p.m. on Sunday, August 22.
