[Durham INC] NC Ballot reform org celebrates 1st year: free event, prize draw, special RQ!

Hi neighbors, sharing for those interested (delete/disregard if not) - a new NC nonprofit working for nonpartisan ballot reform (RCV, like that used in Maine, NYC, Alaska, San Fran & more) is celebrating its 1 year mark with a free fun Zoom event. Born into the intensity of the 2020 election season and the pandemic, Better Ballot North Carolina has had quite a 365 day ride! They’d love to share their story, accomplishments, and year 2 plans with interested Tar Heels, do a prize drawing, and have some social time to hear from YOU about ballot reform and future directions for our state. 

 

The Zoom session is on Monday Sept 27th, starting with a 6:30pm ‘ballot reform/RCV 101’ overview + Q&A, then the rest of the activities. All are welcome to attend, and if a friend joins too, you get an extra entry in the prize drawing for each one.  Here’s the link to register! Also, a few passionate folks have pledged to match contributions for BBNC’s 1st ‘birthday’ celebration dollar for dollar, so if you can’t make the meeting – or want to support and double your gift – (all contributions 100% tax deductible, even if you don’t itemize in 2021 per pandemic legislation!) – you can do that at the second link.
