session in September with news organizations across our state.



I’m writing to invite you to another workshop if you’re interested. The NC
Local News Workshop is partnering with the Raleigh-Durham chapter of the
National Association of Black Journalists on a free panel and workshop
about spotting sources of misinformation. As you may know, misinformation
in social media and across the Internet has major societal impacts. This
event will feature a panel of news, business, and medical leaders in our
state to talk about the impacts of misinformation. We’ll then host an
interactive workshop to provide tips on how you can spot misinformation—and
how to react and prevent it.


* The event is from 10 am to Noon on Saturday, Dec. 11, and will be held
virtually over Zoom.*
