In this month’s episode, host Deborah Craig-Ray, General Manager of Strategic Planning and Innovation, welcomes Dr. Alecia Smith, Communications and Public Relations Manager for the Durham County Department of Public Health, and Derek Bowens, Durham County Elections Director.

Dr. Smith joins us to talk about the critical work her office has undertaken to help the community understand the breadth and scope of the COVID-19 pandemic for the past two years. She'll also talk about the partnerships that have been enhanced during the pandemic, as well as how Durham County has used innovative and thoughtful means to get timely and accurate information to its citizens.
