The Department of Natural and Cultural Resources is Recruiting an Attorney

The North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources (DNCR) is
recruiting an *Assistant Agency General Counsel II *position to provide a
range of legal services for the department, with a particular emphasis on
real property and assistance to the North Carolina Land and Water Fund
(NCLWF).

Job duties in this role range from advising the General Counsel, DNCR
 leadership, division directors, and other agency staff on legal duties,
rights, and obligations; negotiating on behalf of the agency; reviewing
closing documents, deeds, conservation easements, title reports, plats,
leases, nature preserve dedications, and other documents related to the
acquisition and disposition of fee title, conservation, and other interests
in land; reviewing and drafting other legal documents, contracts,
memoranda, opinions, legislation, and administrative rules; and serving as
counsel at meetings of the NCLWF Board. Familiarity with the General
Statutes, Administrative Code, and processes related to state property open
meetings, NCLWF, Natural Heritage Program, and Nature Preserve Act is
preferred.
