In spirit of helpfulness for those that want/need it, Some good places
where clear data-driven info and explanations are, that can help with
quickly/concisely staying updated on local Covid conditions - for any
decision-making or risk management (personal, community, social group,
whatever) - and given wide scientist admission that test reporting is a
significant undercount in USA presently. All free to view/no paywalls.

As always, feel free to share how/wherever and simply disregard/delete if
uninterested.
----------------------------------------------
** Covid ActNow* Tracking by zip code, many up to date metrics/graphics &
good explanatory
(note two options, Durham metro and Durham County, with different details):

https://covidactnow.org/us/metro/durham-chapel-hill_nc/?s=34092216
https://covidactnow.org/us/north_carolina-nc/county/durham_county/?s=34092216

** NY times* tracking of numbers used to determine state/county conditions,
mostly close to real time updated, also with some helpful presentation and
commentary:

https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2021/us/durham-north-carolina-covid-cases.html

** Kinsa HW*, a site that factors in other local data (like wastewater) in
its tracking status apart from the basic ones the other sites are focused
on:

Durham County, North Carolina (NC) | COVID-19 Map | Kinsa HealthWeather™
<https://www.healthweather.us/map/north-carolina-NC/durham-county-37063?mode=covid_risk>

** CDC* County level tracking and official designation level (a little
unclear what is designated whether based on infection, outcomes, or
transmission - kind of an amalgam) - and a little effort involved to
navigate and find most current specific county numbers/metrics, and to get
data page & app to function, sometimes:

https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#county-view?list_select_state=North+Carolina&data-type=&list_select_county=37063

------- Bonus links (x2):

* A data-driven, free email newsletter covering emerging topics in the
pandemic with good plain English concise discussion, lots of infometrics,
references to research publications, by an experienced/qualification
holding epidemiologist (also on social media platforms):

https://yourlocalepidemiologist.substack.com/about

* A free 30-minute podcast from the NY Times with lots not well known about
the prevalence and ease (even if asymptomatically infected) of getting
PACS/Long Covid and its ongoing impact to self, families, and our economy,
and current science about how to address it:
