GoDurham Connect
GoDurham Connect is a pilot program with Lyft that allows riders to take a a ride (up to $25) between their homes and bus stops or shopping centers, schools, and libraries. Riders are also connected to the Village bus stop, connecting them to a frequent service network where there is a bus arriving or departing every 15 minutes on Routes 3, 3B and 3C. GoDurham Connect is an expansion of East Durham Connect.

This summer, eligible students and young children will receive summer Pandemic Electronic Benefits Transfer (P-EBT) benefits to purchase nutritious food items at EBT authorized retailers. Eligible students and young children will receive a one-time payment of $391 for the summer period. There is no application for P-EBT and eligibility is determined by participation in other specific food assistance programs. A student or child will only be eligible for one category and only one payment will be issued per eligible child for summer. Free COVID-19 At-Home Tests Available at Durham County Department of Public Health
Durham, NC - July 25, 2022
Beginning Tuesday, July 26, free COVID-19 at-home tests will be available for pickup Mondays-Fridays at the Durham County Department of Public Health (DCoDPH). Tests will be available for all people ages 18 or older. No insurance or identification is required, and individuals are not required to be Durham residents in order to pick up free tests. These tests will be provided through the screening window at the front entrance of the Durham County Health and Human Services Building, located at 414 E. Main St, Durham, NC 27701.

Test pickup hours are as follows:

  *   Mondays. Wednesdays, Fridays: 9:00AM-1:00PM
  *   Tuesdays, Thursdays: 12:00PM-4:00PM
