Dear neighbors, staying near town this weekend & looking for fun options?
After two online/digital seasons, the late-summer phenom now known as
OUTSOUTH film fest is on-site & in-person for the first time! *Opening
night is tomorrow* - and benefits our fab Carolina Theatre who've hung in
there through all this pandemic/economic challenge. (Links to fest below)

OutSouth, successor/scion of the NC Gay/Lesbian film fest, celebrates a
*27th* festival season with four days of terrific films and shorts - drama,
comedy, documentary, shorts, even horror, animation, sci-fi, international
and NC/local made offerings. So many opportunities to laugh, cry, learn and
be entertained, including a* summer-topical biopic on a famous women's
rights advocate*. Youth-focused films are also in the lineup.

Tickets are available online now and popular screenings sell out - so check
in (see links) for film info/previews, schedule & online booking (box
office opens tomorrow afternoon for direct single or multipass ticket
sales). There is also an after-fest next week for a 1x-chance to see
anything sold out or conflicting with other screenings.
