RWJF's latest poll with NPR and Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health
paints a dire economic portrait for U.S. families. With inflation at a
40-year high, people are falling behind where they hope to be—and this is
acutely felt among communities of color, who already face wage gaps and
other forms of economic oppression. Years of structural racism have
deprived communities of color of assets and resources needed to live a
healthy life amid a period of inflation, political conflict, the pandemic,
and other competing crises.
