More than two months after a blackout at JJ Henderson Senior Apartments
left seniors and disabled residents at risk, the complex has taken some
positive steps — such as improving building locks that failed during the
outage. But as Chloe Nguyen reports, residents say scant communication from
management leaves many questions still unanswered.

In the levity department, "Just follow the clowns" was the word Saturday in
downtown Durham, where the dress code favored patchwork pants, top hats and
tutus. Isabella Larsen braved the blue wigs and boisterous, honking crowd
at the city's inaugural Clown Crawl.

And, the City Council faced a novel dilemma recently: what to do with
millions of dollars of remaining federal pandemic relief monies. Affordable
housing was the hands-down favorite. Hana Stepnick has the story.

A group of doctors donned white coats and travelled to Raleigh recently.
Standing before the N.C. Legislative Building, they described how abortion
restrictions are affecting women's healthcare and implored legislators not
to impose added limits.

Finally, what happens if Durham's Appearance Commission fails to appear?
That's the question Gabrielle Lazor confronts in the latest installment of
