Eaves, Mukelabai Guests on May 2023 “In Touch with Durham County”

Topics for show include County efforts with environmental management and Extension’s Welcome Baby program

Durham, N.C. – The Durham County Public Information Office continues to bring residents important information on our programs and services with the “In Touch with Durham County” show for May 2023<https://youtu.be/JdHl_kl4nEc>.

In this month’s episode<https://youtu.be/JdHl_kl4nEc>, host Durham County Chief Communications Officer Deborah Craig-Ray, welcomes guests Ryan Eaves, Manager of the Durham County Stormwater and Erosion Control Division, and Patience Mukelabai, Program Manager for Welcome Baby.

In segment one, Eaves talks about the work of the Stormwater and Erosion Control staff and how Durham County continues to support environmental management. Eaves and his team recently won the North Carolina Sedimentation Control Commission’s Award of Excellence that showcased the County’s response to work conditions created by COVID-19. He also discusses the County’s nutrient management strategies, the stormwater utility fee, work within the community and more.
