Hey Pam,
I mentioned a while back that Sound Rivers will be partnering with the Haw
Riverkeeper to put on trainings to help the public spot sediment and
erosion control violations on construction sites. We actually got Ryan
Eaves to agree to join us for a zoom-training next Thursday, July 27th,
from 6:30-7:30pm. During the training, we'll talk about all of the things
that can go wrong on a construction site that result in sediment getting
into our waterways, and we'll also talk about the regulatory framework that
is in place to prevent this from happening. We'll also talk about ways
community members can help keep their eyes and ears out and report
violations when they see them.
