Good morning all,

I am forwarding this email on behalf of James Chavis, PAC 1 leader to
remind you of the upcoming meeting about Lead in Durhams Parks. Mr Chavis
has invited the leadership from Durham Parks and Recreation to provide an
update on the process.

be a kind Human,

Bonita Green

Hello neighbors,

by now you have heard about the lead contamination in three of Durham's
Parks. If you have family and friends that have frequented Walltown Park,
or the parks in East Durham, please share this information with them. It is
vitally important that our children be tested for lead exposure.

Hello to you all again

Given the news that came out yesterday about lead in some of Durham’s
parks, I wanted to immediately share this news from Durham City:
https://www.newsobserver.com/news/local/counties/durham-county/article276351806.html
—
"Durham offers free lead testing for children. Here’s how to sign up."
Since not everyone has access to the N&O, I’ve included the article as a
PDF

If you want to be active or keep informed on the lead in Durham, please
note that Walltown Association, which led a seminar/webinar yesterday with
Dr Dan Richter of Duke’s School of the Environment which had done the
research, is working on this issue. Please sign up on this Google form to
work with them or stay informed — The Walltown Community Association will
provide updates https://forms.gle/7AHST7gttAPukzCP6

I’m also including information on this issue in our Durham research folder

I do hope we can all work together on this issue!
