Included are beautiful homes designed by the region’s outstanding architects like Robert Winston Carr, Joe Hakan, George Hackney and Charlie Knott. The tour features houses in Hope Valley, Rockwood, Forest Hills, Duke Park, and Bragtown. This is a tour you won’t want to miss!<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal style='mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto'><span style='mso-ligatures:none'>The tour takes place over two days, <b>Saturday May 18 and Sunday May 19</b>, rain or shine. Tickets grant access to all houses on both days from 12-4pm. You can break the tour up into two days, do it all in one, or take the entire tour twice! Early-bird tickets are available at a reduced rate of $30 for Preservation Durham members and $40 for the general public until May 8. After that, tickets are $40 for Preservation Durham members and $50 for the general public. Main Street, Durham. Focusing on Durham examples, Sara will give us a run-down of the history of the Ranch Style and the social influences that created it. She will point out the salient features of the style and provide everyone with a better appreciation of the Ranch as a reflection of American residential life in the middle of the 20<sup>th</sup> Century.
