It mentions that "Water Efficiency credits" will be discussed. if anyone
attends this, could you please tell us what this is. It sounds like what I
have been saying regarding the use of rain barrels and the effecient use
of rain water. just guessing on my part.

A Green solution for drought:
rainwater harvesting

Legislative Building, downtown Raleigh

What will be Talked and Walked?

North Carolina has been suffering from the drought and it gets worse than
ever. Now 67 counties out of 100 are under “exceptional (D4)” status and
20 under “extreme (D3)” status. This presentation will bring you a great
opportunity for your daily practice to be a part of solution for the
drought. Specific topics will include:
 
*	Current status of drought in North Carolina
*	Key policies to address the growing water demand
*	Rainwater harvesting design principles and guidelines
*	LEED Sustainable Sites and Water Efficiency credits
*	Lessons learned from the rainwater system installations
*	Occupant’s experience with rainwater harvesting system
*	Walking tour of up-and-running rainwater harvesting system

Visitors parking is limited at the legislative building. Please plan your
arrival time accordingly to park at a public parking lot around the

Enter the building off the Jones Street and use the grand staircase to the
3rd floor. Auditorium is on the back side of the 3rd floor and directional
signs will be posted.
