Durham, N.C. – In recent months, statewide burning bans have varied due to
drought and hazardous forest fire conditions.  Effective at noon today,
the Countywide Burning ban that was ordered on February 13 was lifted.    

Outdoor burning, as authorized by the Durham County Fire Prevention and
Protection Code Section 15, may be resumed.
