INC NEWS - Preservation Durham looking for docents for Old Durham Home Tour

Preservation Durham friends:

The Old Durham home tour is set for Saturday, May 3 in the Watts 
Hospital-Hillandale neighborhood. Thirteen houses and the School of 
Science and Mathematics are on the tour. 2008 marks the centennial of 
the groundbreaking for Watts Hospital - now the NC School of Science 
& Math, as most of you probably know.

We are now recruiting docents for the houses (students at the school 
will be docents there). Let me know if you can be a docent this year. 
I will coordinate docents, houses, and shifts. Well in advance of the 
tour, I will let you know your house and shift. Each house will have 
a site captain who will coordinate a docent meeting at the house and 
any last-minute shift changes.

As before, tour tickets are discounted from $20 to $15 for volunteers.

The tour runs from 10 - 6 and there are three shifts:

10 - 12:40
12:40 - 3:20
3:20 - 6

If you can volunteer, let me know if you have a shift preference.

Thanks for volunteering and if you know of others who would like to 
be docents, send them this message or ask them to call me.

If you cannot volunteer, I hope you have a chance to go on the tour.
