INC NEWS - Chaining Ordinance Public Hearing

The Durham County Commissioners will finally hold a public hearing on the issue of tethering dogs.  It has been almost two years since INC passed a resolution supporting a new ordinance and recommending the Commissioners consider disallowing chaining.  The public hearing will be on August 25th at 7:00 in the County Courthouse (200 E Main). Please attend the meeting and let the Commissioners hear of your concern for neighborhood chained dogs, the barking nuisance created in your neighborhood by chained dogs and how chained dogs generally affect your neighborhood appearance and atmosphere.  Your voice matters!
 
Please spread the word and let those know in your respective neighborhoods who care about this issue.
