These bills would limit the ability of  local governments  to ensure the
safety of rental  homes.  Cities and counties would not be allowed to
inspect or register all rental properties to prevent unsafe conditions.

Communities need to be able to protect the health and safety of all
residents. Safe and healthy homes are critical for economic development,
children's education, and the safety of neighborhoods.
