Durham Hosts Mixed Used Update Open House

Residents Asked to Share Vision for Durham's Future Growth and
Development

Fast Facts:

*         The Durham City-County Planning Department is providing an
update on the status of proposed changes to the Mixed-Use Zoning
District in the Durham Unified Development Ordinance (UDO). The
department is in the process of crafting zoning rule changes that
developers will use to create new, mixed use developments that Durham
residents want in their neighborhoods.  

 

*         This open house is a follow up to the May 2011 Visioning
Workshop, where staff asked for public input to develop key principles
for establishing guidelines for revisions to current policy standards
and ordinances that regulate mixed use development in Durham. 

 

*         Staff has used the results of the May 2011 session as a basis
for revisions. After receiving public input at the October 20th session,
staff will proceed with drafting the new text for the update.

 

*         This session will be an open house format, so participants may
arrive at any time during the session.
