Fast Facts:

* The Durham Cultural Forum, the first in a series of public
forums to be located at different locations throughout Durham, will
report on recent initiatives in the implementation of the Durham
Cultural Master Plan and offer artists, arts organizations, and the
public an opportunity for input and discussion.

* Scheduled panelists include Michael Schoenfeld, vice president
for Public Affairs and Government Relations at Duke University and
chairman of the Durham Cultural Advisory Board; E'Vonne Coleman-Cook,
chief operating officer with the Durham Convention and Visitors Bureau;
and Sherry DeVries, executive director of the Durham Arts Council. Marc
Lee, a local disc jockey and arts event planner, will serve as moderator
of the open discussion, which will follow the panel presentations.

* The Durham Cultural Advisory Board was established in 2010 by
the Durham City Council to advise the Council and City administration on
the implementation of the Durham Cultural Master Plan, cultural economic
development, public art, and other matters. Members of the board are
appointed by the Durham City Council. The City's Office of Economic and
Workforce Development provides administrative and logistical support for
the Cultural Advisory Board and works with the Board to implement
initiatives to advance cultural activities, planning, and cultural
economic development.

* A copy of the Cultural Master Plan is available on the City's
website at www.DurhamCulture.org.

* For additional information about this forum, contact Peter
Coyle, cultural master plan coordinator with the City's Office of
Economic and Workforce Development, by e-mail at
