If INC is a 501c3 organization, the executive committee needs to know. I'm afraid that there are probably forms that have to be filed with the feds. We'll need legal advice on that.

Actually
Colin Crossman could best answer that, he's the attny who helped INC become a
501-(c) 4 or 5, if I recall.
He was
President elect of INC when his B&B diverted his attention, but the King's
Daughter's Inn has become such an important staple of Durham, no one
minded.
I've CCed
him here,
Bill Anderson

Dick,
I don't know whether INC has ever become a 501c3 organization.
Possibly Tom Miller or Mike Schiflett can answer that.
However the organization's bylaws prohibit it from endorsing
political parties. That would make it non-partisan in my eyes.
You can find the by-laws here:

Can someone tell me if INC is a 501c3 or other
type of entity? One of the possible venue for the forum has
asked about this. Is there somewhere that says we are
non-partisan??
Thanks.
Dick
