Durham Closes City Government Offices Monday, January 9
Solid Waste Curbside Collections Canceled Due to Icy Road Conditions

DURHAM, N.C. - Durham City Hall and other non-emergency City operations will be closed on Monday, January 9 due to continued icy road conditions.

The Solid Waste Management Department<http://durhamnc.gov/832/Solid-Waste-Management> has also suspended solid waste and recycling collections for Monday, January 9. Trash and recycling collections will now be delayed by one business day for the remainder of this week, weather and road conditions permitting. Customers waiting for trash and recycling collections should leave their carts on the curb. The City's Waste Disposal and Recycling Center will also be closed on Monday, January 9. Collection for yard waste and bulky items should be serviced on their normal collection days this week, weather and road conditions permitting. Any questions or concerns regarding solid waste collection schedule changes should be directed to Durham One Call<http://durhamnc.gov/1439/Durham-One-Call> at (919) 560-1200.

All Durham Parks and Recreation (DPR)<http://durhamnc.gov/753/Parks-Recreation> facilities and recreation centers are also closed on Monday, January 9.
