A Public Hearing will be held by the Durham City Council to receive citizen
comments on the draft FY 2024-2025 Annual Action Plan (AAP). The AAP
specifies how the City of Durham will address housing and community
development needs as described in the Five-Year Consolidated Plan through
the use of federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME
Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) Consortium, Emergency Solutions
Grant (ESG), and Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS (HOPWA) funds.



The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has not yet
notified the City of final entitlement amounts for FY 2024-2025.  For
planning purposes, the City expects to receive approximately $2,030,000 in
CDBG, $1,300,000 in HOME Consortium, $180,000 in ESG, and $1,060,000 in
HOPWA funds.



The draft FY 2024-2025 Annual Action Plan will be available for public
review from March 13, 2024 – April 15, 2024 on the Community Development
Department website located at
https://www.durhamnc.gov/445/Community-Development. The second Public
Hearing is scheduled on Monday, April 15, 2024, at 7:00 P.M. during the
Durham City Council Meeting. Durham stakeholders interested in providing
public comments on the FY 2024-2025 Annual Action Plan should follow the
City of Durham’s Public Comment Instructions. Instructions can be found on
the City of Durham website located at the following link:
