[Ohioaap-practicemanagers] insurance overpayments

What process does your office have for handling insurance overpayments?
For example, we occasionally get paid by an insurance company as the
primary insurance rather than as the secondary insurance. Do you send a
letter to the insurance company notifying them of the overpayment? Do you
wait for the insurance company to request those funds? The statute of
limitation will vary by state. Do you do nothing and wait for the statue
of limitations to expire?

Do these overpayments need to be included in state "unclaimed funds"
reporting?

Thanks in advance for your help with this,

Mike
