[MCIC Safety] SEISMIC QUESTION

Dick, I cannot seem to send this to the MCIC group, but I would like to
hear if anyone has heard of this in NC. 

Has any one encountered a requirement in North Carolina/Mecklenburg
County to have a seismic survey completed before installing racks in a
plant? We're purchasing a rack system and the vendor is saying we need a
seismic survey before they install the racks, and the vendor would be
glad to provide the survey for a cost. I've never heard of such a
survey. Any thoughts?  Is there a safety need for such a survey? Do any
other counties require this?
