Our next ESIP Semantic Web telecon is scheduled for tomorrow (Tuesday) at 4pm Eastern time.

We will start with a presentation from Michelle Cheatham of Wright State University. Michelle is a faculty member in the computer science department and co-director of the Data Semantics Lab. She will be speaking about Ontology Design Patterns as an emerging methodology for ontology development.

Following Michelle’s talk we will continue our work on the Semantic Web Strategic Vision. Tomorrow’s topic is Ontology Governance. In particular, we will review the OBO Foundry Principles that have been re-used in ESIP and discuss to what extent these principles will be applied moving forward.
