    Hi all,
    
    For those that may not have heard, the current chairs' terms are up and elections were held during last week?s ESIP Winter Meeting. I?d like to welcome Beth Huffer (beth at lingualogica.net<mailto:beth at lingualogica.net>) as the next chair of the Semantic Technologies Committee. Beth served as co-chair during my tenure as chair. It?s been a pleasure working with Beth and I?m excited to see where she takes the committee. Over the next few weeks we?ll be turning things over to Beth so keep her in the loop for any upcoming/ongoing committee activities.
    
    It was also a pleasure meeting Andrea Thomer in person at the winter meeting. Andrea is an ESIP student fellow and will be working with our committee this year. She has some really interesting semantics projects in the works. Looking forward to her contributions this year.
    
    It?s been a lot of fun chairing this group for the past few years. Great catching up with a lot of you last week. Talk to everyone at the next committee telecon.
