Friday, May 6, 4:30pm, is the deadline to apply for the Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) for 7 vacancies with terms ending on June 30, 2007 and June 30, 2008. The CAC advises City Council on housing and community development programs. Applications are welcomed from program beneficiaries, target area residents, low-moderate income persons, and housing, neighborhood, religious, business, and civic group representatives. Meetings are 4th Mondays, 6:00pm, at the City Housing & Community Development Department, 401 Lakewood Avenue. (All are welcome.) Members serve without compensation and can only be appointed to one City board at a time. Applicants must reside within the City and be current on property taxes.
